This page is maintained by the board members of the SES PTO. It is not maintained by employees of the Southampton Public School District. The Southampton Public School District and the SES PTO strive to work together to increase parent and teacher collaboration and cooperation.
There are so many fantastic accomplishments at SES that it is difficult to just select one. However, the student government at SES stands out to me. There are so many children involved who are eager to make a difference. They have already accomplished so much this school year. The car wash raised over $500 for Human services. There was also a penny drive, coat drive, food drive. It just is amazing how hard these children work to give back to the community. I am also so impressed with the two teachers who arrive early several mornings each week to meet with the members of the student government and assist them with their projects. Kudos to Noel Rosa-Skaggs for her endless enthusiasm for teaching our kids science. She creates an environment where the students are learning through exploring, investigating and researching -- and she makes it so much fun that they always look forward to her classes.
Congrats to the Kindergarten Team(and Music) for a wonderful T-Day performance! Very fun!!
The second grade will be holding its annual Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday the 22nd. This event is a collaboration of efforts from the students, classroom teachers, art teacher, computer teacher, music teachers and the custodial staff. It's pretty amazing that this feast has been held each year since 1975 and former students are now experiencing it again as parents! Cathy Distefano
A huge thanks to Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Musick for the extra time they have spent each morning with student counsel. Developing a childs' character and awareness of those beyond their immediate circle takes a village (and caring teachers). I am proud that my daughter is becoming a leader and active participant in a change for the better! Sharyn Pepitone
SES PTO is proud to announce a new program called
"CELEBRATING SUCCESS"
*The lead page of the Southampton Elementary School PTO's website will be dedicated to this program.
*The purpose is to publicly acknowledge the successes and strengths of the faculty and staff(and students) of SES.
*To participate: send email to SouthamptonElementaryPTO@gmail.com, in subject write "CELEBRATING SUCCESS", submit 1-5 sentence statement summarizing the positive experience you would like highlighted!
*Email's will be added bi-weekly to our website!!
